SCA Articles of Associations
The companies in the smart industry were especially invited to initiate the launch of the establishment of the "SC Alliance" (here in after referred to as “SCA”), to strengthen the technology and professional communication and exchanges of companies within the smart industry, as well as to promote the development of the smart industry. The SCA principally explores and discusses smart cards, smart payment, internet finance, smart secure communication, smart certification, smart secure identification and authentication for the mobile internet, smart home, smart wear and various other smart product applications, as well as technology deployment and business cooperation in finance, transportation, telecommunications, government and other fields, so as to help reduce the communication cost for enterprises in innovative businesses, technologies or services and to promote the development of related industries.In order to facilitate future coordination and advancement of SCA affairs, the “Articles of Association of the SC Alliance” (hereinafter referred to as the "Articles") were specially formulated as follows:
I.Form of the SCA and organizational structure
1. The SCA adopts a membership system, and enterprises desiring to join the SCA need to submit an application to the Secretariat of the SCA. After the receipt of the application, the Secretariat will carry out internal checks, and only those enterprises that have been approved after the checks are admitted into the SCA.
2. The SCA sets up a Secretariat to deal with all daily operation of the Alliance, arrangements for its activities, information exchange, membership and other matters relating to any affairs of the SCA. The Secretariat will deliver and report the results to all SCA members in a timely fashion.
II.Services for SCA members
1. Free participation in SCA activities
Activities for SCA members are carried out several times a year. If a temporary SCA member meeting needs to be convened in case of an emergency, a meeting maybe arranged in accordance with the specific circumstances at that time. An SCA premium member can appoint two employees of the same enterprise to attend the meeting each time without cost. Persons who are beyond the quota for the activity need to pay conference fees in accordance with the per capita cost of the activity. Members initiating the Alliance can enjoy preferential treatment for prices to participate each time in an SCA activity.
The content of the activity/meeting includes:
- Exploration and discussion concerning the requirements for the latest business and technology in the industry
- Exploration and discussion concerning the current challenges to member enterprises
- Exploration and discussion concerning the latest policies and regulations in the industry
- Communication on future development trends in the industry
- Impact of other relevant trades on this industry
- Possible business or cooperation opportunities in the future
2. Access to Internet information services
- SCA member enterprises can include their corporate Logos and website links in the list of "member enterprises" of the SCA website.
- The company profile and a brief description of products and solutions of the member enterprises can be published on the SCA website in order to increase the visibility of the enterprises.
- Website information and data can be downloaded free of charge. The information and data include industry-related policies and regulations, white papers, blue papers, market reports, technical/operational data, SCA meeting minutes, and so on.
- Free registration for SCA activities/meetings can be conducted online.
3. Provision of supply and demand information
SCA members can access SCA information resources. The SCA will assist member enterprises in expanding their business communication channels and actively acquaint itself with the various products and solutions that member enterprises can provide. In combination with the supply and demand information that the SCA collects from the market, the SCA will furnish the member enterprises with real feedback from the market as well as the upstream and downstream in the industry, thus reducing the communication cost between member enterprises. SCA members are also allowed to attend the supply and demand meetings organized by the SCA. Some of the information might be sourced from outside the smart industry.
4. Provision of human resource information
The SCA has accumulated a number of human resources in each industry, and these resources can provide services for member enterprises. The SCA will assist member enterprises in contacting the persons who interest the member enterprises for the purpose of developing interpersonal relationships.
5. Business cooperation information in new fields
The smart industry covers many fields, such as smart cards, smart wear, smart home, smart communications, smart transportation, smart medical treatment, third-party payment and Internet finance, among others. The SCA possesses some resources in these fields and can help member enterprises obtain more information on cooperation with enterprises in other fields, thus expanding business in new fields.
6. Customized training/consultation platform for enterprises
SCA member enterprises have the privilege to enjoy a customized training/consultation platform. The customized training or consultation services include “technical training”, “interpretation of specifications, regulations and policies,” as well as “analysis on business models”, among others. These services are to provide a platform to assist members to improve their own products and services. SCA will find suitable experts according to members ’needs.
7. Consultation and training services for the Common Criteria International security certification standard
SCA boasts senior consultants with over 20 years’ experience providing consultation and training to enterprises for the Common Criteria (CC) International security certification. SCA also has close partnership with several International testing laboratories, so we can assist enterprises to reach the qualifications for different levels of CC certification. SCA CC security consultant team base in China can provide Chinese local service with International experience, which fully supports and communicates with enterprises in Chinese, thus providing more cost-effective services for SCA members.
8. Omni-channel digital media marketing DSP
SCA has a Demand-side Platform (DSP) that provides omni-channel digital media marketing schemes, including “Branding”, “Commentary”, “Exclusive Interview” on social media, portals, video websites, we-media, among others. DSP can precisely choose the right digital media for the targets of products or services provided by members according to the characteristics of the targets for optimized marketing results.
9. Proposal to initiate the activities appropriate for SCA member enterprises
SCA premium member enterprises are entitled to propose organizing certain activities beneficial to the relations, business and technology of SCA members. The content of the activities needs to be reported to the Secretariat, and the Secretariat will arrange the preparation for the activities.
III. Requirements for SCA members
1. The main business of SCA member enterprises needs to be associated with the smart industry and its operations.
2. For the reciprocity of SCA resources, in addition to the access to SCA resources, member enterprises need to share their own resources with SCA without violating their own business interests or others', so as to ensure fair interaction both upstream and downstream the industry.
3. In order to ensure the efficiency of communication between SCA member enterprises, SCA members should be leaders of the enterprises at the executive level.
4. Each member enterprise is required to appoint two contacts at the executive level as the main participants in the SCA.
5. If an SCA member enterprise is not headquartered in Shanghai, this member enterprise can designate a person from the Shanghai Branch at the executive level as the main contact with the SCA. Meanwhile, two persons of the head office at the executive level may be appointed as the contacts with the SCA.
6. If the contact information of an SCA member enterprise changes, an application for the change needs to be submitted to the Secretariat in a timely manner.
7. SCA member enterprises are not allowed to invite other non-member enterprises to SCA activities without prior consent. If this invitation is needed, it is necessary to contact the Secretariat in advance. The Secretariat will make the arrangement.
IV. Methods of contact between SCA members
1、 SCA member enterprises will adopt various channels of communication between them, and the enterprises admitted into the SCA will receive a "mailing list of SCA members" for contact with other member enterprises.
2、 The designated contacts of SCA member enterprises can apply to join the "SCA" WeChat group for communication with others.
V. Admission fees to the SCA
SCA fees are the financial support for (i) the daily operation of the SCA, (ii) arrangements for its activities, and (iii) all other matters relating to the SCA. The collection of fees is subject to the annual fee system. The fees are calculated based on a period of 12 months commencing on the date when the enterprise is admitted into the SCA.
Membership fees: RMB25,000 per year
VI. The process of joining the SCA
Any enterprise desiring to join the SCA needs to first submit the "SCA Member Application Form" on the official website of the Alliance. After the Secretariat has checked and approved enterprise information, a formal invitation will be tendered to the enterprise to join the SCA.
VII. Disqualification
If an SCA member enterprise violates the provisions of the Articles and is incorrigible or tarnishes the image of the SCA during its tenure as an SCA member, this member enterprise will be persuaded to withdraw from the SCA after deliberation at the SCA member meeting. In addition, any service for this member enterprise will be terminated.
All the SCA members are requested to actively abide by the aforesaid content of the Articles and are welcome to jointly contribute suggestions and help the SCA build a neutral, professional alliance of the smart and security industry, therefore contributing to the undertakings in the field of secure identification and authentication.
