This presentation will cover three parts: Part I, a brief introduction of eSIM, including its origination, current specifications and technical system; Part II, market analysis on eSIM, which will have diversified markets provided by mobile communications services, as well as the outlook of eSIM applications targeting these markets; Part III, the problems of eSIM that might occur in business operations, segmentation of the industry, game strategy scenarios for the industry, regulations and polices. Concerted efforts throughout the industry are needed to address all these challenges.

All industries are attaching greater importance to security. The conventional smart card industry is undergoing changes, too. JAVA COS, once focused on financial IC cards, is now collaborating with other industries, taking full advantage of its professional COS deploying capability and extensive expertise in integrating secure element (SE) into hardware security system. This presentation will cover the application of embedded SE (eSE) in mobile security platforms, IoT and IoV. SE in various forms has penetrated into a wide range of industries, including smartphones, smart vehicle devices, smart wearables and any scenario that needs financial-class security. An increasing number of IoT applications are using eSE to protect themselves jointly with TEE, TSM, TA and any other mobile operating systems, applications and cloud platforms related to security.

Recently malicious attacks like data leakage and tampering on mobile terminals occur more often, so managing and protecting sensitive data has become the spotlight of security. Not long before, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a standard for telecommunication industry, named "Security Evaluation Methodology of Mobile Applications," which uses five grades to evaluate mobile application security. Meanwhile, MIIT is drafting "Provisional Regulations on Application Pre-installation and Distribution on Mobile Smart Terminals." This regulation focuses on the security requirements of mobile applications, encourages mobile applications to sign with digital certificates issued by lawfully established electronic certification organizations, and guides related companies to verify mobile applications signed with digital certificates issued by such organizations with the addition of notable labels. This presentation will suggest the creation of a trusted mobile ecosystem based on testing and certification. Such an ecosystem protects mobile application security by means of regulatory compliance, security and general security management and electronic identity authentication, so as to safeguard user data security.

Gartener expects that there will be 26 billion connected devices by 2020. Therefore, it is vital to provide a trusted system for cloud services and a trusted computing environment for terminals. This presentation will cover the ways of building a distributed trusted computing environment for different applications and services to protect users.
